Charity People are delighted to be working alongside the fantastic children's charity, Action for Children. Action for Children are a phenonemal organisation with the welfare of vulnerable children at the heart of everything they do. They protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support, ensuring their voices are heard, and campaigning to bring lasting improvements to their lives. They have a number of wonderful projects and their main initiatives centre around;
- Best start in life
They understand how important the early years are. From parenting advice to education and early intervention, they focus on improving children's life chances.
- Good mental health
Everyone has ups and downs in life. Their mental and emotional well-being experts work with families and schools to make sure children and parents feel able to cope with challenges when they arise.
- A safe and loving home
They make sure more children feel part of a family that cares for them. They find homes for those without, protect children who have been abused or neglected, and help ensure young carers don't miss out on a childhood.
Action for Children have a phenomenal events team who manage all of their high value and corporate fundraising events. These range from their unique and longstanding bespoke event, Byte Night, as well as gala dinners, cultivation lunches, entertainment quizzes and carol concerts. Their dedicated, fun and ambitious team are looking to bring on board two new faces to manage an existing portfolio of successful events as well as bring new initiatives and events to life.
The two new roles will be busy, fast paced, diverse and exciting and will require individuals who are confident building relationships as well as looking at the nitty gritty logistics of event planning. Responsibilities include implementing a brand new engagement event for the charity, leading on existing successful events and pushing their success to another level. You will look after high level donors, supporting them with their fundraising efforts, recruit volunteers, liaise with members of regional development boards and supporting these individuals at the events themselves. You will also be managing budgets, looking at table sales, logistics and planning, managing risk and will be the lead contact for at least one special event.
The ideal candidate will be incredibly personable, engaging and passionate and will have meticulous attention to detail with the ability to develop project plans and manage event budgets. Ideally you will have worked within high value events previously but other fundraising event experience will also be considered. A love of events is key and we are really looking for someone who wants to use their initiative, be a part of building something new and who wants to really make an impact on the lives of their beneficiaries.
To apply: Please send your CV to Anna at Charity People and I will send you further details.
