Offering flexibility and the chance to lead a small philanthropy team, we're looking for a visionary Senior Development Manager to join an ambitious higher education institution in Yorkshire. Having gone through a period of investment and growth pre-COVID19 (including a recently refreshed case for support), the organisation is keen to maintain its focus, commitment and ambition for philanthropy.

With oversight of major gifts from individuals, trusts and foundations and legacy giving, you'll play a key role in the Alumni Engagement and Development team's strategic planning and decision-making. With a promising, but relatively immature pipeline, you'll need to be a proven senior philanthropy specialist in your own right capable of stewarding six figure gifts from cold prospects.

Who are you?
You're an empowering and skilled leader with the ability to nurture and galvanize a team of experienced and aspirational fundraisers. Your expert knowledge, gravitas and influencing skills will enable the continued development of organisation-wide confidence and ambition for philanthropic giving, embedding a culture of philanthropy that opens doors and creates opportunities to innovate.

You'll work across an interesting and varied project landscape focused on Advanced Healthcare including dementia care and cancer research, as well as progressing the social mobility agenda through scholarships.

To apply, you'll already be an experienced philanthropy specialist with six figure donations as part of your track record. If you don't currently have team leadership experience, you'll have the expert knowledge to lead by example and be keen to progress in your first team management role.

Excellent benefits include 25 days' holiday and 13 statutory and customary days, flexible working, a nursery and fitness centre, generous employer and contribution pension schemes, a reward scheme for shopping discounts, and a salary sacrifice scheme to assist you in purchasing items like childcare vouchers or a bicycle for commuting.

Please apply with a copy of your CV for lots more detail on this amazing opportunity to our Yorkshire consultant, Ellen Drummond: ellen@charitypeople.co.uk

Deadline: 9am on 23rd July
Interview: w/c 3rd August and final round on 11th August
