Animal Defenders International (ADI) are a global campaigning group. The organisation has been involved with several international animal rescues, funding both the relocation and rehoming of circus lions, tigers, chimpanzees and other animals and has become a major force for animal protection, succeeding through its undercover investigations in securing legal protection for animals.

The Role

Charity People are delighted to be partnering with ADI to recruit a PR and Marketing Manager. This is an essential position to the organisation, where you will work to raise the media and social media presence of ADI and associated organisations. You will manage all media relations, marketing and brand management across internal and external communications. Acting as the official spokesperson for ADI, you will produce launch briefings, branding and messaging guidelines for staff and speakers and be responsible for celebrity liaison and development.

We are looking for someone with a wealth of experience within Marketing, PR and Communications across a variety of channels including media relations, press, digital and social media. You should have strong project management skills, be a great organiser, with an eye for detail and the ability to prioritise work and juggle multiple things at once.

The role will involve copy-writing and social media management, so you must have impeccable writing skills with demonstrated experience in preparing engaging presentations, proposals, reports and other communication for diverse audiences, In addition to this, experience of representing an organisation in the press and at times, defending criticism will be essential for this role.

Furthermore, you must be passionate about animal welfare on a global scale and ideally be a vegetarian or vegan.
