Charity People are excited to be partnering with this prestigious London-based cultural institution to search for an experienced Philanthropy Manager (major gifts) with a passion for the arts.

This arts organisation works to bring world-class performances to as many people as possible; delighting them with the traditional and inspiring them with the new. It is an ambitious and passionate institution, currently undergoing an exciting period of growth, in size as well as in artistic output and reputation.

As Philanthropy Manager you will build relationships with to the organisation's major donor supporters and work closely with the Head of Philanthropy to build the major donor pipeline.

Your role will be integral to the development of creative approaches to help achieve (and exceed) income targets, deliver objectives and provide excellent, engaging stewardship to funders. You will have specific responsibility to expand the charity's major donor base with particular emphasis on securing new gifts of £20k and above and cultivating existing donors with the capacity to increase their gifts.

We are looking for a driven and capable candidate experienced in writing and creating successful funding proposals with accurate budgets, for 5 and 6 figure bids. You will have a thorough knowledge of the major donor fundraising landscape and experience of cultivating supporters and securing Major Gifts.

You will be a confident communicator, apt at building relationships, with a positive attitude and a love for the arts. Additional working may be required away from the office by attending events and venues in London and the regions.
