The Charity

King's College Hospital Charity makes a difference to the lives of patients, family and friends at King's College Hospital Foundation Trust by working closely with the teams who care for patients and funding projects that enhance every aspect of health care. Through supporting exciting initiatives that improve health, work that helps to prevent people from becoming ill, they manage projects designed to improve diagnosis, treatment and care. They support the day-to-day work of the hospitals and deliver practical benefits by raising money for cutting edge equipment and facilities, innovative research, pioneering treatment and staff development and support.

The Role

Charity People are delighted to be working in partnership with King's College Hospital Charity to recruit a Marketing and Communications Officer. An exciting and newly created role, you will be responsible for writing content for websites, digital platforms, social media, the Intranet, email campaigns and other channels to convey key messages to target audiences to drive website traffic, recruit new donors, and raise awareness.

Your role will cover a great variety including writing content, producing creative materials, engaging social media followers, liaising with suppliers, managing web platforms, and providing administrative support as needed across the department. Working closely with the Fundraising Team, you will also help to raise awareness of their activities.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone with a strong background in marketing and communications across a variety of channels including digital, social media and managing email campaigns. You should have strong copywriting skills, an ability to create original materials and have a flair for identifying new opportunities. We are looking for someone with experience of using website content management systems (Drupal or similar) and marketing software (MailChimp or similar) and you should be educated to degree level or equivalent.

You should be passionate about the Charity Sector, have strong planning, time-management and organisational skills and have a confident and proactive outlook.
