Charity People are proud to be working in partnership with the incredible homelessness charity Cardinal Hume Centre to find a Major Gifts Fundraiser for their high value gifts team. This role will play a crucial role in securing funds through Trusts and Statutory sources, as well as Individual Donors.
Job Title: Major Gifts Fundraiser
Organisation: Cardinal Hume Centre
Location: Westminster, London
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Closing Date: Friday 29th May 2020
Required: CV and Cover Letter
This role with the charity will play a critical role in the development of funds through Trusts and Major Donors. It's a beautifully balanced role whereby a talented fundraiser can further their knowledge and experience in two income streams.
The Cardinal Hume Centre was established in 1986. The charity runs fantastic services for homeless young people and families in need from the local community on one site, in Westminster. But, it is so much more than a homelessness charity. The people they help are supported to gain skills and support to overcome poverty and avoid homelessness. They currently run six programmes ranging from a running hostel; employment and learning support, to immigration advice and advocacy. The Major Gifts Fundraiser will play a pivotal role in funding these programmes as well as other imperative services.
We are looking for a talented fundraiser to manage their time effectively between Trusts and Major Donor income. The ideal person will have a solid foundation in either funding stream with the drive to take on a fresh challenge. You will have a family unit working with you in the fundraising team. One of the most alluring aspects of this role is the fundraising team itself. It's an environment where you will work with people equally passionate about their work with the charity, whilst enjoying close knit environment that each thrive in.
In this role you raise income from grant-making charitable trusts, inputting to and working within the Centre's fundraising strategy, managed by the Director of Fundraising. As a fundraiser you will need to be proactive and creative in your stewardship of relationships with Trusts, Foundations and Major Donors through brilliant thanking and personalised updates and reports.
This role is fantastic. It's with a phenomenal charity looking to reach further young people who desperately need their services.
