Working for this exciting charity based in North London. This charity supports all charities to make the biggest difference possible. They do this by supporting them to make the most of their money and resources, by putting financial leadership at the heart of their decisions.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned Financial Controller to initially join on a six month contract.

This role will work within the finance team to continue delivering effective financial management of their resources. You will support the finance team in ensuring that financial policies and procedures are legally compliant.

This is a hands-on, challenging and varied role and requires the post holder to be comfortable with managing and delivering concurrent activities with tight deadlines. The successful candidate will need to be extremely well organised to manage a high workload as well as having a sound understanding of financial accounts, debt recovery and charity accounting.

You will know how to bring out the best in people and be comfortable allowing others to find answers. You will be someone who enjoys continuously learning new skills and topics in a rapidly changing workplace.

You will feel comfortable operating and delivering finance systems (mainly through SAP Business 1) and will have a presence and credibility with internal teams.

It is essential you have the following:

Evidence that technical financial accounting practical skills have been kept up to date.
Experience of preparing group financial statements.
Experience working in a membership organisation, to deliver high quality results to deadlines.
Experience in cash-flow forecasting and management reporting.
Experience of using computerised Financial Software.
Be a comfortable and effective manager.
Have the skills to deliver the finance functions within the organisation.
Be a team player and work seamlessly with the team.
Be open, approachable and a firm believer of continuous development.
Understanding of the voluntary/not for profit sector.
Knowledge of Charity SORP Accounting.
