The Charity

King's College Hospital Charity makes a difference to the lives of patients, family and friends at King's College Hospital Foundation Trust by working closely with the teams who care for patients and funding projects that enhance every aspect of health care. Through supporting exciting initiatives that improve health, work that helps to prevent people from becoming ill, they manage projects designed to improve diagnosis, treatment and care. They support the day-to-day work of the hospitals and deliver practical benefits by raising money for cutting edge equipment and facilities, innovative research, pioneering treatment and staff development and support.

The Role

Charity People are delighted to be working in partnership with King's College Hospital Charity to recruit an Individual Giving Officer, 5 Month Contract, with an opportunity to then go permanent.

This role will be managing a series of direct marketing activity across a range of channels. You will be managing campaigns from planning to evaluation You will plan and implement several direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels including direct mail, email, display advertising and newsletters

Through your excellent communications skills, you will build relationships, brief and proactively manage external agencies along with developing supporter journeys to maximise retention of donors. Furthermore, you will assist the Head of Supporter Engagement with developing their new Virtual Gifts website and the marketing of this product, along with monitoring and analysing weekly reports for all individual giving campaigns.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone with excellent project management skills with experience of planning, developing, implementing and evaluating projects; ideally you will have working in direct marketing, individual giving or within fundraising and be available immediately.

You should be a strong communicator with good written and oral skills who is comfortable writing copy across a range of channels. In addition to this, you should have good numeracy skills which includes being able to analyse data and create campaign reports in Excel.
