Individual Giving Manager (Six Month Contract)
Book Aid International
£35,000 - £37,000
Based in London
Can you imagine a world without books? Having never been read a bedtime story or visited your local library? Going to school and being greeted with empty classrooms and sharing one book between your whole class? Not knowing the joy of getting lost in a great story.
Around the world millions of people do not have access to books. At Book Aid International, we work to get books into the hands of those who need them most by donating brand new books to schools and libraries in 26 countries around the world. In 2019 we sent 1.2 million books and every year we strive to do more because we know that books have the power to change lives.
We are looking for an Individual Giving Manager to join our vibrant fundraising team. The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for raising over £950,000 from individuals annually (including community and legacy sources) and managing the development of the Individual Giving Strategy to increase and diversify income. This will involve donor acquisition and retention through a variety of direct marketing channels. This role will have 1 direct report.
The role includes producing compelling direct marketing materials for a range of audiences through a number of channels. With a strong background in managing a wide range of individual giving campaigns, you will be expert in writing and producing communications and analysing and reporting on data. You will work collaboratively with all members of the fundraising and communications teams, in particular the Relationships Manager and Fundraising Officer to support the Individual Giving Programme.
This is a key role within the charity. We are looking for an experienced, energised, creative individual to join us on our journey.
Charity People are managing the recruitment for this role; all interested applicants should send their CV to Ben Garner at Charity People at firstname.lastname@example.org in the first instance.
