We value diversity at the Faith & Belief Forum and warmly welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply.

The UK's leading interfaith organisation is looking for a Head of Programmes to provide strategic vision and oversight to our ground-breaking and award-winning programmes in schools, universities and community spaces, working towards our vision of a world where diversity is celebrated.

For over 20 years, the Faith & Belief Forum has delivered ground-breaking and award-winning programmes in schools, universities and community spaces, rooted in a progressive approach to interfaith that includes all religious and non-religious groups, and takes into account the complexity of people's identities. We are ambitious in our aims to bring together people of different faiths and beliefs, and to create a positive movement for change in ever more turbulent times for our communities.

We are now establishing a new expanded senior leadership team to spearhead the next phase of the organisation's development. The new Head of Programmes will implement a strategic approach to our work with young people, students, teachers, educators, community leaders and other stakeholders. As a member of this new senior leadership team, overseeing a talented and high performing programmes team, you'll play a key role in the organisation's future as we navigate and grow in a post-pandemic world.

This is an exciting opportunity to achieve real impact in the interfaith sector across the UK, and to make a difference to the lives of those we engage with. To make this happen you will:

* Bring a high level of experience in programme leadership, ideally in the interfaith or a related sector.
* Be a strategic thinker, and a sensitive and effective communicator, with the awareness and ability to negotiate with partners and stakeholders.
* Demonstrate a collaborative approach to leadership and people management, supporting your team to achieve our vision and develop personally and professionally.

You'll be joining an organisation that embodies the inclusive and welcoming values we want to see in wider society. We pride ourselves for our diverse and collaborative working environment, where passion and commitment are rewarded through a flexible benefits package and ongoing support. In our most recent staff survey, 100% of staff said they are proud to work here and 100% enjoy working with the people here.

Part-time 3 days per week.

Starting salary: £23,414 (£39,024 FTE) (+ London weighting if London based)

If you feel this role is for you, please send a copy of your CV in the first instance to Amelia at Charity People to find out more.

The deadline to apply is 9am on 15 January. If shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an online interview 21 or 22 January.

We believe in order to effectively serve our beneficiaries our work must be influenced by a broad range of voices. Therefore, we actively encourage applications from people who are currently underrepresented in our staff team. This would include BAME candidates and those who identify as Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain. We celebrate difference and are committed to creating a working environment where everyone is included.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from individuals without the right to work in the UK.
