This is a great opportunity to join the finance team of a national charity on a part time permanent basis. If you are looking for that work life balance, then this can be the job for you. This amazing charity promotes lifelong learning to people who are no longer in full time employment or raising a family through self-help interest groups covering a wide range of topics and activities.

Part time, 21 hours per week spread over 3 or 4 days. Flexible with days and hours.
Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum pro rata
Location: Borough

The current structure of the department is the Finance Manager supported by a Finance Officer (F/T) and a Bought Ledger assistant (P/T). You would report directly to Finance Manager and work closely with other members of the team. You will need to have previous experience within a similar role.
Main duties and responsibilities
* Responsible for the purchase ledger
* Preparation of payment schedules
* Responsible for the sales ledger and debtor control
* Responsible for the Purchase Order system
* Responsible for the general ledger
* Preparing and posting journals
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Banking and bank reconciliations
* Managing the Fixed Asset register
* Managing and reconciling the inter-company account
* Preparation of Events income and costs schedules (includes Study Days, Summer Schools and the AGM/Conference)
* Managing PayPal transactions
* Preparation of Cash Flow
* Preparation of quarterly Management Accounts using Excel
* Preparation of management reports
* Assisting with setting budgets
* Standing in for the other Finance Officer in periods of absence
