Charity People are recruiting for a domestic abuse organisation based in Bradford to find them a highly experienced domestic abuse/ sexual abuse support worker for the role of 'Advanced Practitioner'. This is a temporary position starting in December, or possible earlier. The role will run for at least three months, possibly much longer.
This role requires someone who has vast experience of supporting sexual abuse or domestic abuse victims and their families with complex needs, this is an essential requirement for you to be considered for this vacancy.

Your role will be to develop and enhance the service, provide over the phone and face to face support, and advice, with victims of domestic violence, ensuring clients are safe and are receiving all the best support possible that they need, as well as helping improve their confidence and practical skills. This is a broad role, which is what makes this such an exciting job. you will work with GP surgeries and various organisations to help victims overall welfare by processing referrals, contacting clients, developing support plans, carrying out risk assessments and breaking down barriers with helping clients who need it but might be finding it difficult to access services, and any barriers with multi-agency working.
This role will be perfect for a go getter, who can ensure they do their upmost on a case by case basis to improve the lives of the people on their caseload. Someone who can be creative to try and engage with client, and to keep pushing forward for successful outcomes.
To be considered for this post you must have recently worked with victims of domestic abuse, managed a caseload of clients, and have strong record keeping skills - recognising the importance of recording all key information required to safeguard the client and ensure other agencies can keep up to date.
This job will be on a temporary basis, covering maternity leave. There is some flexibility around working at home, however, you will be expected to be in the Bradford office full time for the initial 2 weeks handover/ induction. The office is Covid-19 secure and this role would require some travel outside of the office, on occasion.
This role is working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Paying £14.31 per hour + £1.73 per hour. Holiday pay (£16.04 per hour in total).
