Development Manager (Direct Marketing)
Animal Welfare Charity, Central London (Home Working Currently)
12 Month Maternity Contract
£44,000 - £49,000

Charity People are delighted to be working with this Global Animal Welfare Charity, to recruit an outstanding direct marketing professional to manage a range of exciting campaigns. We are looking for a Development Manager to work on a 12 month maternity contract to drive, develop and oversee the organisation's fundraising and income generation development programme, focussing on direct mail (acquisition and retention), telephone and digital fundraising platforms.

You will manage the development strategy and plan, with key aims on increasing donor acquisition; donor growth, improving donor retention; and (to a lesser extent) building the prospect pipeline for corporate and major donors, with the aim of securing partnerships and high value donations.

You will also work to deliver against the Charity's engagement and income targets and to play a key role in shaping the marketing and communications around their donor engagement programme. You must have demonstrable experience and a proven track record of leading income generation strategies and direct marketing experience via online and offline channels (particularly appeal management).

As an enthusiastic self-starter with a hands-on approach, you will be capable of working independently or as part of a multi-disciplined team. You will be an inspirational leader and provide direct line management to the Development Officer.

This role is vital to the ongoing success of the Charity. Ideally you will be a Direct Marketing Manager or Individual Giving Manager with strong leadership, strategic and knowledge of fundraising.

Interested applicants should send their CV in the first instance.
