If working with talented and dedicated people is high on your priority list, then this Corporate Relationships opportunity with Variety, the Children's Charity, will be right up your street. Yorkshire is Variety's most successful regional team and this brand-new role will take ownership for corporate partnerships in all its many forms.
Variety supports sick, disabled and disadvantaged children through a range of core programs; wheelchairs, Sunshine Coaches, specialist equipment, Variety Great Days Out and special projects. Although it's a national charity, Variety retains the values and work ethic of a small organisation, which makes it a happy and collaborative place to work.
Delivering a busy programme of fundraising events that includes Yorkshire's largest property awards, you'll join a small team with eclectic and diverse expertise from a range of sectors. As part of this melting pot of talent, you'll bring ambition, confidence and a strong track record of building creative partnerships to generate income.
With an existing portfolio of warm contacts in the commercial sector, it will be your job to develop and maximise relationships outside the events calendar using creative engagement techniques that will include CSR initiatives, sponsorship and Charity of the Year partnerships. You'll also engage the network to leverage new opportunities and establish new relationships, as well as mapping out the regional business market to approach organisations whose charitable ambitions match Variety's.
On Variety's wish-list for their dream candidate:
A proven track record of building successful strategic partnerships in the charity sector (although we'd be open to exceptional commercial candidates making a transition who can demonstrate an understanding of CSR). Passion, commitment and exceptional communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Polished at pitch delivery and someone who leads by example as a senior member of the team.
If you're as excited by this opportunity as we are, please send a copy of your CV to our regional consultant, Amelia Lee: email@example.com
We're looking to move to interview towards the end of January, but will close as soon as we have a strong enough shortlist so do apply ASAP if interested to avoid disappointment.
Charity People actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion. We match charity needs with skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for the charities we work with.
