Offering flexible working and a unique opportunity to lead a transformational step-change in community fundraising, Charity People are heading up the search party for Ronald McDonald House Charity's first ever Community Fundraising Manager. Opportunities of this scope, scale and ambition are rare. Through a combination of vision and strategic leadership, you'll drive change through people by recognising, developing and harnessing talent.
Families are at the heart of everything RMHC does. They build and run houses that provide a 'home away from home' for families with a sick child in hospital, enabling them to stay close and providing a warm and welcoming place to rest their heads. The charity currently has 11 houses across the UK, all just moments from their respective children's wards, and families can stay for days, weeks and even years.
The charity's work has incredible potential to activate and galvanize support from local communities by reimagining traditional community fundraising. With a solid foundation of community support already in place, RMHC recognises the significance and power of local, community-led fundraising and wants to unlock that potential with a more strategic and joined-up approach.
Leading a team of ten Community Fundraisers based across the UK, you'll create and deliver a brand-new growth strategy for community fundraising. With complete creative ownership of planning and delivery, including talent development and structure, you'll inspire your team to embrace and celebrate new ideas and innovation, leading the design and development of new fundraising products. There is a generous package on offer that recognises the expertise of a true community fundraising specialist. Salary £35k - £40k (+car or allowance £4,300)
Happy to consider candidates from across the UK with a primary base at any of the RMHC houses and there will be considerable travel required. Flexible, some homeworking potential, and a friendly, happy team where people love what they do.
