Charity People are delighted to be partnering with Barts Charity in their search for three new Hospital Fundraisers who will work closely with Barts Health NHS Trust staff to build community networks and drive voluntary fundraised income growth across the five hospitals that the charity supports.
Role: Hospital Fundraiser
Organisation: Barts Charity
Contract: Full time, permanent
About Barts Charity
Barts Charity funds ground-breaking research, state-of-the-art equipment and innovative healthcare projects that change lives and bring extraordinary healthcare to 2.5million people in East London and beyond. As a place-based endowed foundation, the grant-making programme supports the five hospitals of Barts Health NHS Trust (St Bartholomew's, Royal London, Mile End, Whipps Cross and Newham Hospital) and six medical research institutes.
About the role
The success of Barts Charity's recent Covid-19 Emergency Appeal presents the charity with a unique opportunity to increase engagement with the patients, staff and wider communities they support. The new Hospital Fundraisers will continue to develop the increasingly warm relationship with partners at Barts Health NHS Trust and strengthen relationships with newly-recruited donors and supporters.
This role reflects Barts Charity's ambition to deliver significant growth in voluntary fundraised income, with a focus on creating deeper engagement within and around each of the hospitals they support.
You will be an experienced community fundraiser who understands how to navigate a complex organisation, with multiple different internal and external stakeholders. Ideally, you will have worked in a hospital community fundraising role previously or similar. You will be an engaging and confident people person who thoroughly enjoys nurturing long-term relationships with a truly diverse network. An exceptional communicator, both verbally and written, you will have a proactive, positive, solution-focused attitude.
Please send a copy of your CV and a supporting statement (max. 1.5 pages, WORD doc.) to our Senior Consultant, Philippa Bryant.
