Charity People was recommended to me by a colleague who recently joined the team at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge. She had been in touch with them as a candidate and found them particularly well-connected, very professional and easy to deal with. We were looking for a Development Officer to join the team and struggling to find someone who ticked all the boxes. Philippa took the time to understand the type of profile we were looking for and went through the job description with us in quite a lot of detail. She then proceeded to find us the perfect candidate! I would definitely recommend working with her.
-
Philippa was a genuine breath of fresh air as a recruitment consultant. She understood my circumstances and was so helpful answering questions. I felt well prepared for my interview with the background information supplied by Philippa and Charity People. It was actually an enjoyable process from chatting about the job to being offered the position. Thank you so much for your help and friendly attitude.
-
Philippa was instrumental in helping me to secure my new position at Wolfson College. She took care of everything, making my application so straight forward. Philippa was fantastic at communicating with me and handled everything with the College including adjusting my interview to a time to fit in with my hectic schedule. Philippa was there for me all the way through the process and I felt very supported. I couldn't have wished for anything more.
-
Our major gift team here at Kingston worked with Philippa recently to recruit a new member of staff. It was a challenging role to fill and Philippa was brilliant in helping us find and select the right person for the role. We would definitely work with Charity People again, highly recommended!
-
Autistica worked with Philippa recently for the recruitment of our MD manager role. I found Philippa to be highly professional, offer candid advice about the job spec and the types of candidates that would match. Philippa never overpromised and she certainly delivered with a fantastic candidate who is a perfect fit for the role and settling in really well. Charity People have always been my go-to agency and Philippa is a fantastic and reliable part of this team.
-
Philippa has been a great help in finding me my new role in exactly what it is I want to be doing. She was always on hand when needed and kept in-touch with me throughout the whole process. I am very grateful for everything as she has helped me to progress in my career.
-
Working with Philippa to find my new role was such a refreshing experience. Philippa stood out from any other recruiter I was working with, because she really listened to what I wanted from my new role. I only ever heard about roles that matched what I'd asked for. She was always very honest and open throughout the application process, and supportive throughout (including when starting in the new role). Charity People has always been one of the best agencies I've worked with and Philippa is an absolute credit to them.
-
In my line of work, agents are part of life. I depend on them to help fill roles and I rely on them to portray the roles with the same energy, enthusiasm and passion as me. We were looking to fill a post of Compliance within the growing and demanding fundraising team. We had seen several people and we were getting to the stage when I thought the perfect person did not exist. Zelda never gave up searching - her personable approach, meticulous tendency as well as sheer dogged determination meant that the perfect person did exist. Three months in, she is still the perfect person. I would definitely work with Zelda again.

“I first met Amelia when we asked her to help recruit our Major Gifts and Trusts Fundraising Manager post. It was important for us to enlist the help of someone with local knowledge of the North West area. Amelia took the time to meet with us in person at our offices which helped her get a good understanding of our team culture so she could help find someone who not only had the expertise to drive our fundraising strategy forward but who would fit in with the rest of the team. She came up with a fab shortlist of candidates and to be honest we probably could have hired any one of them.Amelia was easy to work with and really understood what we as a Charity were looking for, totally professional throughout the recruitment process. I would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking a professional, knowledgeable recruitment consultant.”
-
Alice is an absolute pleasure to work with. She has extensive knowledge of the corporate fundraising sector and understood quickly what I was looking for and the types of candidates who would fit within my team and the wider organisation. Alice managed the recruitment process efficiently and kept me informed throughout . I can’t recommend her highly enough.
-
Pete helped me to recruit two new team members in a matter of months. The process was quick and easy, the information I received from him timely and really helpful and all the candidates we met were strong. I really felt Pete had taken the time to understand what we were looking for and he certainly delivered on all counts.
-
Pete was really helpful from the moment we first spoke: spending time listening and learning about the ethos and purpose of the Anglican Mission Agency I work for, in order to be able to send the most suitable candidates for the vacant post. He sent three candidates, all of whom were appointable, and the one we chose is doing a great job.
