A new government initiative is set to give thousands of care jobs workers in Scotland some much needed respite from the demands of their role, it has been revealed.The Scottish government announced today (March 21st 2011) that it will provide funding for more than 3,000 young and adult carers to allow them to benefit from a new partnership with more than 50 organisations that will see them offered the chance to take a break from their duties in order to recharge their batteries.Under the new plans, some £820,000 worth of short breaks will be distributed among care jobs workers north of the border, with charitable bodies such as the Redburn After School Care and Leisure Scheme taking part.Shona Robinson, public health minister, said: "Short breaks really do give carers breathing space."This follows on from author Rosie Staal's comments that it is important for people to consider recruiting the help of professionals in care jobs when looking after family members.People Unlimited are specialists in recruitment for Care Jobs
