Regeneration jobs to benefit from Lincolnshire contract win

An international infrastructure group pledged to focus on regeneration job creation after it secured a ten-year contract with North East Lincolnshire Council.

Balfour Beatty signed a £250 million services contract with the local authority as a strategic partner in regeneration, property and technical services in the region.

The contract means Balfour Beatty will be responsible for highways transportation and planning as well as architectural services and asset management.

Balfour Beatty plans to make full use of all services it offers across the infrastructure industry, providing an integrated service. It is thought the partnership with North East Lincolnshire Council will "make a major contribution to the region's economic development and regeneration".

The company has developed four business sectors covering the initial concept to the complete lifecycle of the infrastructure and strives to create specialist teams for complex projects.

Ian Tyler, Balfour Beatty's chief executive said: "We are delighted to have been named as a strategic delivery partner. We will deploy the broad range of capabilities of the group."
