New pavilion to create arts and media jobs?

A number of opportunities for those looking for arts and media jobs could be created after a new venue is constructed in London.

The Serpentine Gallery Pavilion has been designed by French architect Jean Nouvel and will play host to a series of plays and other activities.

Julia Peyton-Jones, director and Hans Ulrich Obrist, co-director, said they are "thrilled" that the expert has created the venue and they are pleased to bring the structure to England for people to enjoy.

Moira Sinclair, executive director of Arts Council England - the organisation which provided funding for the venture - said: "I am delighted that this grant, alongside our core funding to the gallery, will help ensure a stunning pavilion ... that will inspire, intrigue and entertain everyone who explores it."

The Serpentine Gallery will be located in Kensington Gardens until October 17th.

A play called The Future's Getting Old Like the Rest of Us will feature on Friday July 23rd at 20:30 BST and stars Roger Booth, Corinne Skinner Carter and Jane Wood.
