New online tool for those in charity jobs to track children''s progress-Charity job News

Professionals working in charity jobs with young disabled children can now take advantage of an online tool to track their development.
Scope has released details of its Celebrate Every Step software which uses an internet-based platform to log achievements and encourage progress through play.
Lindsay Brewis, interim head of early years for the charity, said: "This is a ground-breaking new tool for parents of disabled children ... It will enable them to track and ... celebrate their child's progress on a range of play and learning activities."
Games using household objects like ribbons or playground materials like sand are described online and encourage development in head control, listening, posture and pointing.
Celebrate Every Step has been designed with youngsters up to the age of seven in mind, but older children with more complex issues can also benefit.
Earlier this year, Scope arranged training days for those working in care jobs to help them understand the best ways to accommodate little ones with special needs.
