Mental health charity warns ''people do not admit to stress''-Charity job News

Those in charity careers feel workers and young people are still afraid to address issues around mental health and stress.
Lucie Russell, director of campaigns at YoungMinds, was responding to research by YouGov, commissioned by the charity Together, indicating 70 per cent of people suffer stress and 59 per cent anxiety, while almost one in three had felt unable to cope.
"As the report shows, six in ten of us have faced mental problems but we are still ashamed to admit we are finding it hard to cope or are unhappy," she said.
Ms Russell also suggested more should be done to help young people cope with mental issues, getting them to open up about their feelings.
The survey also indicated women were more likely to suffer from depression than men, with around 80 per cent admitting to feeling occasionally or regularly stressed.
This week (March 8th-14th) is Mental Wellbeing Week, designed to promote better mental health for all.
