Media jobs could make reading more accessible-Media recruitment News

Media jobs workers are among those who could help make reading more accessible by taking advantage of new technology.
Honor Wilson-Fletcher, from the National Literacy Trust, explained that devices - such as e-books - allow text to be digitally packed in a way that is appealing, without losing the sense of narrative.
Such formats are ideal for those who may find reading books on paper difficult, for example if they are visually impaired, she added.
"We do like the idea of multi-platform products - that can be literally slotted in to existing consoles and other hardware," said Ms Wilson-Fletcher.
Although it is impossible to tell which products will prove to be popular on the market, the ones that are successful will need to be packaged and sold in a suitable manner, she concluded.
Those with media jobs might also like to take note of recent observations by the Flurry blog.
It noted that in October - one out of every five new applications launched on the iPhone was a book.
Furthermore, the online resource predicted that this particular gadget from Apple would be a significant player in the digital book market.
