The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) has provided around £4 million worth of funding towards a project to build 106 houses in the Beaumont Hill area of Darlington.

These new environmentally-friendly properties will be a mix of two, three and four-bed units, some of which will be available for rent in order to aid local people get their first foot on the property ladder following the global economic downturn.

Tees Valley Housing is the construction firm that has been granted the right to provide the community with these homes and it is estimated that the project will cost a total of £14 million to complete.
