Hope: Huge variety of care jobs available-Care recruitment News
09 Feb 2010
A government recruitment drive for care jobs has been launched through a television advertising campaign.
The Department of Health have sponsored the scheme, which sees three different commercials running on mainstream television channels, featuring care workers talking about the positives of their jobs.
Care services minister Phil Hope said that those looking for care jobs would have a "huge variety" of careers to choose from.
These included working with children, families, elderly people or those with disabilities.
"Workers in social care have a big positive impact on the people they work with," he noted, pointing out that these careers could offer flexible working hours and opportunities for further training.
The government recently launched their new recruitment scheme which aims to get all young people into a job or an apprenticeship within six months.
Their first focus has been on care jobs.
