Anyone looking for green recruitment opportunities might be satisfied to hear that one organisation has implemented some environmentally-friendly techniques to reduce its carbon footprint.
Skanska - a construction company with 5,500 employees - has taken up "green values" with a view to becoming more responsible, People Management reports.
The organisation's vice-president for human resources Harvey Francis said: "We aim to represent our ethical and green aspirations within our HR policies and offerings."
Encouraging workers to cycle to work or car share were just some of the projects brought in, while recycling facilities and investment in ethical trusts was also recommended, the publication continues.
What's more, Skanska also announced that it has been planting trees at a local park to offset emissions for flights taken for corporate business - the foliage has been sown in Cowdray Park in Sussex.
News of this follows an announcement that the organisation has agreed to construct three schools in Essex as part of a government initiative.
