Green jobs could involve better educating homeowners about the benefits to installing environmentally-friendly technology in their homes.So says Andrew Leech, director of the National Home Improvement Council.He made his comments after the Department of Energy and Climate Change announced a scheme through which households and communities who install generating technologies will be entitled to claim payments for the low carbon electricity they produce.Mr Leech said those in green jobs were responsible for spreading the message about the opportunities for both cashback and for lower energy bills that lay in solar and wind technologies."I think the general public needs a lot more education in this respect. They are still very sceptical about global warming and climate change and what the knock-on effects of those are," he added.In his Pre-Budget Report of December last year, chancellor of the exchequer Alistair Darling announced that some 125,000 energy inefficient boilers in homes would be scrapped.People Unlimited are specialists in Green Jobs recruitment
