People looking for a charity career may be interested to hear of a popular course that teaches volunteers how to play the ukulele.
Clara Gauntlett from Community Music East (CME) in Norwich said the organisation has experienced a "surge in popularity" for the classes.
More opportunities have been scheduled for the coming months as beginners and those with some experience can pick up the skills quite easily, she added.
One retailer in the area has also seen sales of the tiny guitar boosted. Tristan Burfield from the Music Room claimed: "The uke has become progressively more popular, possibly because of the success of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain."
Fans of the sound - or of George Formby - may have enjoyed a performance of Learn to Play the Ukulele in Under an Hour at the Edinburgh Festival last year.
Patrons were handed an example of the stringed instrument on entering the theatre before being taught to play a few chords of some classic tunes like Britney Spears' Baby One More Time.
