Arts jobs workers may enjoy new London theatre-Arts jobs News
10 Aug 2010
People with arts jobs in the south of England might be interested to read that the country's first theatre made out of recycled and reclaimed materials has been opened in London.
In news that may also be of note those employed in environmental jobs, the Jellyfish Theatre - which is located in a playground in the district of Southwark - is a fully-functioning arts centre and forms part of the Oikos Project.
This culture scheme is intended to encourage a mixture of art created by members of the public along with architecture and performances. The Jellyfish Theatre was built by German-based architects Kobberling and Kaltwasser and will open to the public at the end of the month until October.
It is constructed from materials that were donated by the local community and was also erected by the people from the surrounding area.
Meanwhile, those in similar employment roles further north in the UK might like to attend a Junction Arts participatory day in Derbyshire on October 14th.
