Recruiting A Senior Database Officer for a homelessness Charity based near London Bridge to work on a temporary basis for 6-8 weeks +, whilst the Team recruit for the permanent equivalent. The Senior Database Officer leads on the Charity’s fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge), working within the Fundraising & Communication team, and liaising with their Finance and Services teams.

You will be accountable for the day to day administration of Raiser’s Edge and on all aspects of the database, and will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to ensure the database operationally delivers the fundraising strategy of Charity. In addition to maintaining the supporter database, working closely with the Finance team and take a lead on reconciling fundraising income, and running the Gift Aid claim. You will be responsible for continuing to improve data quality through fundraising team by training to help the wider team act on insights from supporter data trends. You will offer expert advice to users to ensure they have skills, tools and knowledge to maximise the potential of the database.

The job responsibilities include running the day to day management of the raiser’s Edge database and supporter data helps deliver an excellent supporter experience, to maximise fundraising impact. You will support the Fundraising team and Fundraising Database Assistant to accurately brief data processing, segmentation and response handling tasks.
You will bring proven in-depth experience of managing a relationship database, preferably Raiser’s Edge, within a fundraising/sales/customer facing environment and be fully competent using Excel and related data reporting and importing tools. Further to this you will have knowledge and understanding of best practice required to maintain compliance with Data Protection legislation, Fundraising best practice and HM Revenue & Customs (Gift Aid).
The team are fairly flexible with working hours for this post – their usual working hours are 37.5 hours per week, but they are happy to consider people working 21 hours upwards each week, in the office.

The hourly rate will be based on £32,000 per annum.
