Charity People are excited to be working with a renowned Social Welfare Charity based in central London, in their search for a Policy Officer to join their successful Public Affairs and Public Policy team.

This well-established Charity provides practical care, advice and assistance to serving personnel, veterans and their families. Since 1921 they have been working tirelessly to safeguard the Armed Forces Covenant, which ensures that those who serve, have served and their families are not left disadvantaged by the unique nature of military life.

They are seeking an enthusiastic and committed policy professional to lead the Charity’s policy work on health, social care and wellbeing. This is an exciting role, which will allow you to take the lead on developing influential work health and care issues including mental and physical healthcare, social care and loneliness and social isolation within the Armed Forces community. You will be able to secure improvements to legislation affecting the c community, monitor and analyse existing policy developments and work with colleague across the UK to support and develop the Charity’s campaigning activities.

We are looking for applicants with demonstrable demonstrate experience of developing robust and evidence-based policy positioning, working with and engaging stakeholder communities and experience of influencing public policy. The successful applicant will have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills and be a strong team player.
