About the Charity
Marie Curie is central in providing a better life to people living with terminal illness and their families. The charity runs 9 hospices across Great Britain. The hospices are placed as far north as Edinburgh and Glasgow, as far west as Belfast and south in London. Marie Curie delivers at a crucial time in people’s lives where they are subject to a circumstance that almost leaves them helpless, but as well as their families. The experts, nurses and carers provide care and support before, during and after some of the most challenging times in people’s and families lives.
About the Role
This Philanthropy Manager position sits within a high performing and ambitious Philanthropy Team which is central to supporting the delivery of Marie Curie’s strategic direction. This role has a primary focus of managing major trust and foundation relationships for Marie Curie. You will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding existing and new relationships with major trusts and foundations. The focus in the Major Trusts team will be approaching Trusts and Foundations for £500,000+.
The ideal person for the role is someone looking to develop and grow in a supportive environment surrounded by fundraisers and experts in their field. You will need to be proactive and creative in your writing and be able to write applications of the highest quality, with an almost effortless creative flair.
