We have a wonderful opportunity for a Philanthropy Manager to join one of the UK’s biggest national children’s charities as part of their highly successful Regional Major Donor team; securing the support of major donors and those with the capacity to give philanthropically across the Midlands.
This is a really special role working at a senior level both strategically and operationally across the major donor fundraising function. You will personally manage a number of key prospects and donors in order to secure gifts between £5,000 and £1m+ working for an organisation with a well-developed major donor programme and an active appeal board. We are looking for someone with the gravitas, expertise and experience to seamlessly take on a high level portfolio with the expectation that you will continue to develop and grow both existing and new relationships.
Our perfect candidate will have the ability to identify, cultivate and maintain high quality supporter relationships with a proven track record of securing high level income from those relationships (five and six figure gifts). The successful candidate will have experience in major donor fundraising, and launching, planning and delivery of new and existing partnerships. A strategic, creative thinker with problem solving skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects. We are however very open to candidates coming from other areas of fundraising who have strong relationship development and management experience.
We are looking for someone with a real desire to make this next move a meaningful, long term one; someone who wants to invest time, energy and determination into making an already strong major donor programme even more special and successful.
This role is primarily home based with travel across the patch in particular around Birmingham, Stoke, Nottingham and Leicester. As well as being home based we are very open to conversations around flexible working. There is an opportunity to discuss the salary for candidates coming with significant Major Gifts experience so please do give us a call to discuss options.
