Charity People are delighted to be working with one of the leading learning disability charities to recruit a new Major Donor Manager for their team. The charity provide high-quality services in housing, employment, education and day-to-day support, allowing more people to live independently in a place they choose.
They are also on the front line, campaigning for the changes that people with a learning disability want and need. Through fundraising, research and campaigning, they are working for a better future. Through their projects and programmes they are trialling ground-breaking work to promote inclusion and are giving people the life choices and freedoms they want.

This is an exciting time to join the charity. You will be part of a growing and ambitious team of fundraisers whose philanthropy income has trebled in the last three years.
As the Major Donor Fundraising Manager you will use your strategic approach and excellent relationship building, influencing and writing skills to identify prospects and inspire the support of major donors and influencers. Working closely with the Philanthropy Lead and other senior colleagues, you will play a key role in the design and implementation of their philanthropy strategy, as well as line managing the Prospect Researcher.
Previous experience of working in major donor or relationship fundraising is a must. You should have a passion for people and a talent for building relationships. With first class communication, networking and influencing skills, you will thrive on persuading people to support the cause. You take pride in excellent writing and are admired for your ability to communicate face to face, holding your own with tact and persuasion. Using this rich combination, you will relish the challenge of delivering high-value, multi-year donations from major donors and valuable introductions from people of influence.
