Do you have a track record in Trusts and Statutory fundraising and would love to join a forward thinking Charity which operates in an incredibly important field of humanitarian work?
Road casualties are the biggest killer of young people worldwide; a terrifying but true fact. This well-established Charity based in Huddersfield works with communities and organisations globally to stop the tragedy of road deaths and injuries and help people come to terms with the consequences. Their vision is simple: a world without road casualties or pollution from road transport. Their work is far reaching; they work tirelessly to inspire, inform and engage people in the UK, and globally, to take action to achieve this vision of safe, green, healthy and fair transport. They also support victims of road crashes through their flagship government backed helpline.
I am thrilled to be working with this charity to help them find a Development Officer to support their Victim Support Helpline team. The Development Officer will conduct research and coordinate new opportunities for expanding funding to support the helpline service, and information literature services, and some support for their Sudden project. The Development Officer will also be key in identifying new opportunities from grant applications, trust funds and statutory bodies, developing stakeholder relationships with important national and regional bodies including Police and Crime Commissioners and their offices.
This is a truly wonderful opportunity for someone who has a background in Trusts/Statutory fundraising or someone with exceptional written, project development and relationship management skills. This role will sit within an extremely warm and supportive team with lots of opportunity to develop and grow. While this role is ideally full time and based in Huddersfield there is some opportunity to work from home (3 days a week) and to also look at condensed/flexible hours.
Please note this organisation practices what it preaches – they are a one minute walk from Huddersfield rail station and would prefer candidates to get to work via public transport or via foot / bicycle.
Deadline for applications: 6th February
Interview dates: 13th February
