We are seeking to appoint a national Membership Recruiter Manager who will expand our existing face-to-face membership recruitment activity. Reporting to the Director of Membership, Marketing and Communications your role will cover a variety of functions which fall into two main areas:

1.Recruitment of new GWCT members through face-to-face sales activity

2.Recruiting, training and motivating a team of regional membership recruiters (employed and self-employed) throughout the UK.

Your day-to-day activities will be defined by the need to deliver on the following actions:

•Develop and implement the annual face-to-face membership recruitment budget plan
•Deliver membership recruitment targets within budgeted expenditure
•Champion and take a lead on the charity's face-to-face recruitment activity
•Provide regular reports on team performance and variance against budget
•Attend UK wide events and manage face-to-face campaigns generating new members, sometimes during evenings or weekends
•Build and maintain a network of regional membership recruiters around the UK
•Provide challenge and support to membership recruiters, performance management with a focus on activity
•Review and improve quality and content of recruiting materials and display kit
•Ensure all data collection and transmission is handled sensitively and in accordance with GDPR regulations

We will only consider and respond to applications from individuals who meet the following 3 essential criteria:

1.You must be able to demonstrate experience and success in a face-to-face direct field sales role, and preferably within membership recruitment

2.You must be able to demonstrate experience and success in managing, coaching and motivating a direct sales team

3.You must be able and prepared to travel extensively around the UK, including overnight stays, and attend headquarters in Fordingbridge, Hampshire twice a week

In addition, we are looking for a natural communicator with a flair for translating complex ideas into simple persuasive sales conversations. You should have strong evaluation and presentation skills and a creative, positive attitude to problem solving.
