Our client is a health charity based Central London who are looking to recruit a Direct Marketing Manager for an 8 month contract. The role sits within The Individual Engagement team who are responsible for generating income more than £8 million per year through the acquisition and retention of new and existing individual supporters. Individual supporters include Regular Givers, Lottery players, Cash donors, Legacy pledgers and Payroll Givers. This role will build and lead activity across multiple media channels such as Face to Face, Telemarketing, Direct mail and Digital to bring in and retain these supporters.
Your role will involve the following duties:
To manage, plan, develop and implement a programme of cash and legacy direct marketing fundraising campaigns to increase unrestricted net voluntary income by recruiting and retaining individual cash donors, and by generating legacy income (Gifts in Wills).
To develop the skills and capabilities within the team to ensure that The Charity has best in class fundraising staff, delivering income growth and quality supporter engagement and are thus poised to identify opportunities for growth.
To be responsible for achieving/exceeding agreed income targets through direct marketing activity across cash and legacy giving. (Direct Mail, telemarketing/mobile, email, SMS and any other relevant channel).
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience
Direct Marketing, for example, direct mail, telemarketing, digital and legacy marketing
Monitoring and setting budgets in a direct marketing context, with demonstrable delivery of successful income targets
Working with, and actively managing, agencies and suppliers to support the creation and delivery of campaigns
Proven track record of delivering and evaluating results
Line management, including staff development, coaching and performance management
Take a flexible approach to managing a wide and varied workload, prioritising and delegating accordingly, ensuring achievement of targets within a fast paced and changing environment with tight deadlines
Be actively engaged in the market place and aware of developments in the sector
