Action on Hearing Loss (formerly the RNID) is the UK’s largest charity for the 11 million people in the UK who confront deafness, tinnitus and hearing loss every day. Established in 1911, they help people to take control of their lives and live the life they choose, removing the barriers standing in their way.

We are delighted to be working with Action on Hearing Loss to recruit a Senior Individual Giving Manager to lead the Individual Giving Team. The team delivers a busy direct marketing programme to raise a gross income of around £3.3 million from individual supporters and circa £8 million from legacies each year.

The post holder will play a key role in the development of the overall fundraising strategy, working with colleagues to drive innovation, integrated supporter engagement and income growth. You will lead on the strategy, planning and budgets for the Individual Giving team to continuously enhance the experience of supporters and maximising their lifetime value. You will work to develop and implement an individual giving plan focusing on supporter engagement and long-term growth. This covers new and existing supporters, across a variety of income streams, including gaming, payroll giving, in-memorandum and legacy.

You will report of the Head of Public Fundraising and will line manage a team of five, with three direct reports.

We are looking for a driven, passionate, highly organised individual who will use their experience to lead, motivate, and develop a dedicated and hard-working team. You will be a strategic thinker who will ensure that the programme performance is aligned with the organisation’s operational needs. You should have substantial demonstrable fundraising experience in direct marketing. With excellent planning and organisational skills you will be driven, able to exceed targets and work well within tight deadlines.
