Small charity: great big, bold ambition. We are seeking the vision and know-how of an ambitious and entrepreneurial Fundraising Manager to take this promising acorn and grow it into a big, beautiful oak tree.
The charity: A thriving, award-winning and rapidly-growing Bristol-based organisation providing meaningful engagement for older people in care settings across the south and south-west. Their phenomenal work is recognised as leading the way across the UK with ground-breaking use of technology, art and music to reach those living with dementia, as well as bridging generational divides through community engagement with schools and young people.
The role: As the charity embarks on an innovative three-year strategy, this Fundraising Manager post will take charge of investment in income generation by leading a small fundraising team consisting of a Trusts & Grants Officer and Fundraising Officer. With an inspirational case for support and a number of multi-year grants already in place, there is huge scope for development, providing a unique opportunity for someone in search of strategic input and creative freedom.
On our absolutely ‘must have’ list:
• Successful personal track record across more than one fundraising income stream (ideally including corporates, major donors and/or community)
• Strategic thinker and budget manager
• Exceptional communications skills; both verbally and in writing
• Motivator and coach capable of leading teams to success
• Positivity, passion and enthusiasm in abundance
We are looking for that perfect blend of creative thinking and operational nous; an innovative ideas person able to take action and make things happen. Working with a fundraising savvy CEO, you will have the encouragement, support and guidance to make it a success. The charity also offers flexible working with a committed and passionate team and a family-friendly culture.
