Would you love the opportunity to work for an international charity with global partners which supports vulnerable children in over 125 countries?

We are looking for an experienced senior fundraiser with expertise in high value relationships fundraising to bring strategic thinking and operational excellence to SOS Children’s Villages, one of the world’s largest and most highly regarded NGOs, as they build up their UK-based fundraising team.

Charity People’s brief: to find a creative and innovative candidate to head up the partnerships aspect of their fundraising division. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the Assistant Head of Fundraising – Partnerships will grow the charity’s income across: trusts and foundations, statutory, lottery, European, corporate and major donors prioritising unrestricted funds and projects with the greatest need. You will increase the average size and longevity of grants and donations received by securing repeat funding from a portfolio of existing donors, reactivating lapsed donors and securing donations from new prospects.

On our absolutely ‘must have’ list:

• Significant demonstrable previous experience managing at a senior level teams of fundraisers.
• Substantial budget management experience, where planning and preparing fundraising budgets has been a significant part of the role.
• Experience and evidence of writing successful funding applications to trusts and foundations or similar donors and presenting fully costed proposals of all new initiatives.
• The ability to lead and motivate a team of fundraisers across different fundraising disciplines and with various degrees of experience.
