Joining a brand new team at the start of a thrilling journey is a tremendous opportunity for any digital communications specialist. We are working with SOS Children's Villages, one of the world's largest and most highly regarded NGOs, to help form a UK-based Communications Team.

Using the power of on and offline comms to cut through to new audiences and engage existing supporters better, our talented Senior Digital Communications Officer will have a deep understanding of the potential offered by the digital world. SOS Children’s Villages works in 125 countries supporting orphaned children and fragile families, providing quality education and healthcare, as well as caring for children during times of crisis and disaster, and we are looking for a talented individual to harness the wealth of communications opportunities this core work creates.

A varied list of responsibilities includes: planning and executing all web, email, social media activity and digital campaigns with support from the digital officer; supporting, building and maintaining social media presence; managing SEO and SEM activity; delivering digital production such as web pages, images and social media with regular assessment of user journey; video making, scripting and editing, or the ability to learn.

On our absolutely 'must have' list:

* Busy comms team experience in a digital marketing and website content management role
* Impressive back catalogue managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email and social media campaigns
* Modern visual eye and design skills e.g. Photoshop, Gimp, Canva, InDesign
* Proven track record of working with CMS, Google Analytics, email marketing and social media
* Creative thinker and talented writer
* Positive individual that brings bags of energy
