The Air Ambulance Service operates the national Children’s Air Ambulance and the local air ambulance services for Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland. Their vision is clear: they want children to grow into adults, adults to live longer and bereavement through trauma to become rare. Each of their services works tirelessly to save lives and alleviate sickness, wherever and whenever possible.
They have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic brand development expert to rapidly grow a young and largely unknown brand, achieving national presence. You will bring creativity, entrepreneurial mindset and a passionate hunger for success with the cutting edge skills and determination to make a difference to The Air Ambulance Service saving lives in the UK. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Fundraising, this role is based in Central London, with some travel to their HQ in Rugby.
The role will involve defining, developing and implementing the Communications Strategy through powerful stories which are relevant and engaging to their audience. Working across a range of channels both online and offline including PR, Social Media and Internal Comms, you will work as a brand guardian and ensure consistency in branding and messages across all platforms. You will commit to establishing the charity as a thought leader on emergency healthcare, healthcare in general and the third sector. You will take a lead on the development and implementation of their customer and supporter journey communications strategy. The role also leads a team of 6 people
We are looking for someone with extensive marketing communications experience and proven success/delivery in communications strategy within the Charity or Commerical Sector; we a looking for someone who has set up and developed a brand from zero and has had actionable success.
You should have experience gained either in Services to the public or Consumer Brand
Experience in managing a communications budget above £2 million.
A strong knowledge of marketing and brand development along with cutting edge digital platform knowledge.
Highly entrepreneurial and dynamic, thrives in a fast moving ambitious environment.
Strong analytical skill to assess detailed information/data and translate it into market leading communication strategies.
Expert in managing multiple projects.
Proven collaborative leadership skills not just vertically but laterally: the proven ability to lead cross-functional or cross-agency teams to deliver powerfully and quickly on the brand’s agenda.
Experience of leading a growing team of employees.
