Charity of the month - Depaul UK
Depaul UK are a national charity who provide support to young people aged 16-25 who are sleeping rough or without a safe permanent home. Every year they provide emergency accommodation and longer-term support to 3,500 young homeless people in crisis.
We have nominated Depaul UK as our charity of the month. They help young people aged 16-25 who are sleeping rough or without a safe permanent home. Every year they provide emergency accommodation and longer-term support to 3,500 young homeless people in crisis.
The people they support are some of the most disadvantaged, isolated and hardest to reach young people in the UK. Many have experienced rough sleeping and come from extremely challenging circumstances. They believe that every young person deserves a home and a stake in their community which is why they work to provide the stability and support these young people need to progress beyond homelessness.
If you would like to support Depaul UK why not get involved with their CEO Sleepout - either by participating yourself, or nominating your boss!
CEO Sleepout London 2015
Depaul UK are asking CEOs and Business Leaders to give up their bed for one night in order to help those who don't have one by braving the cold and sleeping side by side with their peers at The Kia Oval on October 12th 2015.
Managers, CEOs or Directors from any industry are invited to take part in what will be a unique and inspiring event. Last year 100 senior managers from the UK's largest companies braved heavy rain and slept outside at Wembley Stadium – this year we hope to top that with the biggest event yet with 200 people taking part!
